Flammkuchen

 Finally a German dish on the table!  Flammkuchen is like a pizza but the difference is that it doesn't have either tomato sauce or cheese.  Instead, Creme Fraiche is used as the base.  Toppings can vary but some meat like bacon or ham seem to be popular in Germany.  Another characteristic is that the crust is very thin and crispy.  If you're making from the dough, try to roll it out as thin as possible.  It's easy, quick and perfect for parties or game nights!

Ingredients
1 Flammkuchen/pizza sheet (chose super thin)
2/3 cup Creme Fraiche
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/3 cup chopped spring onion
50g/1.8oz bacon

Directions
1. Chop bacon and spring onion.  Combine Creme Fraiche, garlic powder and nutmeg.
2. Roll out a Flammkuchen/pizza sheet and spread Creme Fraiche mix, then top with bacon and spring onion.
3. Bake at 200°C/395°F for about 10 min. until the edges are golden brown and crispy.
